As the Cowboys head into a three-day bye weekend, offensive coordinator Jason Garrett talked about how his much-scrutinized unit has done through three games.
Garrett has called 130 passes to just 69 runs, a much greater imbalance than the 584-386 ratio during Dallas’ 2009 NFC East championship season, but Garrett’s not concerned, especially this early in the season.
“A lot of people get caught up when they look at the stat sheet at the end of the game and say, ‘Boy they throw it this many times and they run it this many times,’ ” he said. “A lot of times you’ll run the ball late because you’re ahead or you’ll throw the ball late because you’re behind and that will distort the final stat sheet.”
But Garrett, a former quarterback, did admit that the 1-2 Cowboys have to run the ball better and more often to keep defenses from keying on quarterback Tony Romo and the passing game. Dallas was sixth in passing and seventh in rushing in 2009. This year, the Cowboys are fourth in passing but just 26th in rushing.scp.bfreesystem.com Boresha-bskinny-coffee.com Learn More About The Best MLM Compensation Plan Click Here Click Here For More Info
